My poor woobie!

This is my hubby, my best friend, my one and only true love, my partner in crime, my personal stand up comedian, my sugar daddy (inside joke!).....Michael aka Woobie. He's been working extremely hard to build our new home, in addition to his regular job, and has been putting in really long hours. I don't see how he manages to do everything he does. Well, Monday we had an uh-oh while working on our house......

Yep, that's his finger and yes that's a nail that went through it. He shot himself with a nail gun (yes, he knows how to handle a nail gun properly and yes, it was an accident) and the nail went straight through his finger and came out THROUGH his knuckle. As you can see, it's not straight either. It was crooked and it was also a nail with shanks on it, like a screw. Can you imagine what that felt like when they pulled it out? OUCH! He fractured the bone and we just found out today that he has to have surgery on Monday to put pins in. If you know Michael, you know this is killing him because he has to take off a day from work. Geez! The house can wait woobie- let's take care of that finger first pal!

He's handling it like a real trooper- well, maybe that's all the pain medicine talking. lol! I have never seen him actually show that he is in pain, so I know he is hurting...BAD! We have been through several differnt pain meds to find one that works and I think we finally found one last night. Please keep him in your prayers and pray for the doctor doing the surgery. I hear he is excellent, so that makes me feel good. I just hope this isn't going to bother him forever.

I told him hie turkey season was over and he was quick to remind me that it was on his left hand and his 'trigger' finger was not affected- go figure!
