Please Pray for me

Hey everyone! I feel odd writing this and asking you to pray for me, but that is exactly what I am doing. As most of you know, I am going in tomorrow to have my cervical epidural steroid injection to try to help with the nerve pain I am experiencing due to the ruptured disc in my neck. They will be injecting me with depomedrol (sp?) to 'bathe' the nerve running down my left arm where all of my pain is coming from. I am hoping that this will be the end of my 3 times a day 'cocktail' of phenergan and hydrocodone. (That hydrocodone pills takes horrible!) This is an outpatient procedure done in the OR through X-ray. The procedure itself should only take 15 minutes and I'll be in recovery for about 30-45. I'm supposed to be at the hospital at 6am and they are scheduled to start at 8am. I have prayed relentlessy for this procedure to work and for the hands administering it to be guided skillfully.

Nevertheless, I am still anxious. I have complete confidence in my neurosurgeon but the complications and risks that are possible are still at the forefront of my mind. I am so excited about the chance to be able to pick up Luke again. It's been over a month since I've been able to pick him up and truly hold him. I have had to rely on everyone/anyone if I want to leave the house so someone can put him in his carseat and then take him out. If this procedure if a success, I'll be able to hold him the very next day.

Please keep me in your prayers and pray for peace of mind, skilled hands and that the Lord will heal me through just one injection and not several. I am looking forward to getting back to my normal life and I hope that tomorrow will be the beginning of just that.
Love you all!
Marji
