We have been studying Colonial Times in school for the past 3 weeks and it is finally coming to an end. The kids and I have had a lot of fun and done several crafts and cooking projects during the process. Here are just a few of them below..have no fear, there are more to come!
I don't know why this picture is turned this way...anyway, we made these orange peel citrus snacks one day. I can see how this could possibly be good, but let me tell ya...these were HORRIBLE! I don't know if we did something wrong or what but I do know that we will not be making them again!
They learned about 'hornbooks' which were the colonial kids first school books. We made our own and as usual, Brett is being goofy in front of the camera.
This picture has nothing to do with colonial times. A friend of mine had given the kids some fun science/art experiment stuff for their birthdays and we all had a lot of fun experimenting with colors.
