We have been so busy lately that I haven't had time to download pictures onto the computer. So, I have a lot of catching up to do. Try not to be too overwhelmed. I'll do it slowly, lol!
One of Ella's Christmas presents from my parents was a butterfly garden and ladybug home. We got online and ordered our little ladybugs and caterpillars. The kids were so excited when they arrived. We waited until Luke was taking his nap (wink, wink- didn't want any of the creatures seeing an untimely death) and then we released them into their new homes.
The caterpillars came in a cup and we had to leave them in there so they would form their chrysallides. We were able to put the ladybugs in 'ladybug land' and watch them move all around.
The verdict-our ladybugs DIED! Explain to me how I can keep a million wild ladybugs alive in my home, but then once I have some in 'captivity' they die. Our caterpillars turned into beautiful butterflies and we released them off our back porch. I still need to upload those pictures.
